About the location of Ungsteiner Herrenberg:

Vineyard area: 1.44 ha

Grape varieties: Riesling, Pinot Noir

The highest vineyard within the Ungsteiner Herrenberg site is the "Kanzel". This pulpit rises very exposed over the landscape on old vineyard walls up to four meters high. Riesling grapes of the highest quality have been ripening here for centuries. In contrast to the Buntsandstein that is otherwise predominant, the Herrenberg soil consists of loess clay with a high limestone content. This makes the wines from this location unmistakable: mineral freshness, charming fruity play and a strong body ensure the wines have a particularly long life.
